Diamond Ring Care.

If your gold and diamonds aren’t shining like they used to, that’s life.

Everyday life, that is—with its daily beauty and house cleaning routines that can dull your precious jewelry. Storing them improperly and regular wear are also culprits. But these tried-and true-cleaning, storing and maintenance tips can counter everyday life… and bring your cherished jewelry back to life

REVIVE with Dish Soap & Warm Water

It’s safe enough to use on almost any jewelry!

  1. Mix one drop of dish soap with warm water in a bowl, then let jewelry sit for several minutes to cut through oils and grime.
  2. Follow up with a gentle scrub using a soft-bristle toothbrush. If your stone has a pronged setting, make sure to scrub from each side, working the flexible bristles into all the crevices where enemies of sparkle tend to collect.
  3. Rinse, then dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid using tissues or paper towels as they can leave lint or scratches.

REMOVE YOUR RING During Hands-On Activities.

Take off your engagement ring when gardening, working out, doing manual labor or swimming. It will increase the longevity of your ring AND reduce the chance of it getting lost. And keep a ring dish near your kitchen sink so you can remove your ring when washing dishes.

REPLATE as Needed.

White gold rings are typically plated with rhodium and need to be dipped every few years to replace it.  It’s an inexpensive process, and if not done, will allow the ring to yellow and lose its luster.
